It has been a while since my last posting.
The company I work for in RL has finished the rebuilding of a mall and I had looooooooooooots to do with that. Afterwards I really had earned me a nice holiday with my bf *smiles*.

So what´s new?
I must admit: nothing.

The little sparetime I had left from RL I invested in a bit future.
Maybe some of you know that I will move to UK next spring and I try to increase my English as best as possible.
One thing to do that was my CAE I passed while summer (and I have not done bad although my head was a bit foggy all year).
The other thing I started this autumn is to translate for Verballis Translation Svc’s.
Maybe you are a business owner and want to have translated a notecard, ad, anything else.
Just send an IM to Cayman Beaumont and you get your ad in any language you wish (almost).

So what´s planned for the future?
Well, I have only 6 weeks left to work, then my contract and the mall rebuilding (still a little tidying to do) is finished.
Although I have only 3 months left in Germany I am of course looking for a new job, but beside this I will have pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenty of time for building, learning doing my own sculpties finally, increasing my skills in building furnitures and English.

Stay tuned … I have a overfilled mind and much more time soon :-)

Hello again :-)

A new week, a new month even has started today and in the northern hemisphere the autum is already close.
Hopefully not too close, I really would like to enjoy the next weeks with a bit more sun than the last weeks *smiles*.

The last weekend I have been very busy, my working space is filled up with trials, errors and a few precious items which wait for their final polish.

One of the new furniture sets I decided to give out for nearly free:

And then I have promised you a big announcement last month … here it comes :-)

The next weekend I am having birthday in RL (yes, I am becoming an old lady… nuuuuuuuu not yet *grins*) and maybe I will be not so much available.
To make it easier for you I thought about a weekend of half prices.
As I am living in Germany I am ahead to SL-times, so the sale will start from thursday to friday night and will end at monday evening German time.
That should be plenty of time for you all to empty my shop :-)

At next monday then I will free some space downstairs and you can expect new releases soon afterwards.

Fair enough?

I am a very curious person. Whenever I catch a sentence from someone, a glance at someones title, seeing a nice dress worn by one, any other thing which catches my eye then I take a deeper look at this person’s profile.

Checking the groups gives me a great inspiration where to go (yes yes, everyone wants to be in more groups but we are living in a restricted world, perfectly proofed at the weekend with the restricted logins to SL), profile texts are able to decide if someone might be sympathic for me and if I want to learn more about her/him.
And if my attention is thrilled enough I click through the entire profile, reading the picks, interests, first life and knowing that some store a website also in their profiles I click at this tab as well.

Thus having spoken:
My website-tab has changed immense! And I am the most happy girl to be able to share this with you.
Look at this neat little website, which is called PeX “SL Profile Extension”, here is the picture for it:

It stores what I would like to put into my picks and to share with other residents if they want to check my profile like landmarks (it gives out the slurl/ opens it inworld), groups (my advice: put a landmark to the group related place like shop for example), even other websites and I also can write something about my friends or people who impressed me.

Well, I am able to share – but I don´t need to.
Sometimes I want to keep a place private and only want to store the slurl at a place where I can find it easily without hiding it into my millions of landmarks already in my inventory.
I always can decide if it is only for my personal use or if I want to store the items for public use.

Now you probably want to know how this website is able to work inworld.
I can tell you: It is a very handy tool, a HUD with only 5 little buttons which are opening menus each.
It is still in the testings but the scripter Pavcules Superior is doing great work and everything what I mentioned so far (yeah, I am one of his testers) he was eager to think over and to explain me if I have missed something or to implement something to make it easier.

I can tell you: This tool closes a big gap in our profiles and it makes our lives more comfy.

Pavcules told me that he is still looking for testers so feel free to send him an IM and he surely will drop the PeX to your account and will listen carefully to all your ideas and advices and helps you if you are like me too likely to overread something in the helping notecard.

Checking the website at his latest members: The community of testers is growing and although he keeps telling me that the testings still will take a long while I assume he gets so much feedback that it maybe will not take that long anymore before this tool is thrown to the markets and I can only strongly advise you to take your chances before that ^^.

But even you are one of them who buys it one day you will be most satisfied with the product as it is cool, small, handy, easy to use and interesting for every curious person out there in our strange little world.

As you already might have noticed, I like quotes and I have another one which fits to my post today and the PeX:

It´s raining caaats and dogs here (Germany, Cologne nearby) and I have to walk home now from office. Can a weekend start better than with a ice-cold shower? *lol*

One can only hope for a bit sunshine these days over here. But it is the perfect training for me as I want to move to UK next year.

Oh, did I mention that I have weekend now?

That means: I am going to build new things for you and I already have plenty things in my mind.

So the big question of these days is what does make us happy?

In my case I can say that it is my boyfriend of course and my friends. Also my RL-work makes me happy (not every day though *chuckles*).

In SL it is still my boyfriend and also my friends. Chatting and exploring are big hobbies too.

And I do love hunts. They make me crazy and happy at the same time. I even don´t care so much for the items themselves in the first place. I hardly can leave the place when I have not found every single box. In the end I cannot wait to got home for unwrapping my boxes and I feel like a child under the christmastree *giggles*.

So please drop me an IM when you get to know about a hunt. Btw: I like to share – so I really would like to do the hunt with another person or even in a group.

Who doesn´t know this better than we residents of Second Life^®?

I promised you in my last post to present you the entire bedroom and so I do now:

As you see it includes everything what a modern bedroom needs to have: The Kingsize Bed of course with a basic MultiLovePoses Set, a roomy wardrobe, the both bedtables with lamps, a dressingtable with matching stool in front. The table is clickable and gives you a brush and I implanted a brushing-animation into the stool. The carpet rounds the picture of this modern bedroom.

Every item has an iron application as decoration and is wether animated or scripted.

You can get this set and many other items inworld at my store or at SLExchange ^®.

The end of something is always a start for something new and so I can tell you in front that I am working at a Bauhaus-inspired collection.

Bauhaus-what?

That style is maybe not so much known outside of Europe. It was grounded by Walter Gropius in Germany in the very beginning of the 20th century and it has lost nothing of its charme. Many of the modern functional furniture has its roots in this style. In my opinion it is the perfect conjunction of style, form and function and I want to share this style with you.

So I tried to build a comfy place for you to play your own opera.

Watch the backside of your girl when she sits at the dressingtable and brushs her hair like in the picture “Venus in the Mirror” from P. Paul Rubens. Store your clothes in the spacious wardrobe. Place your book at the bedtable at your side, switch the light off and go to sleep (or cuddle the beloved person next to you, run your hands over her/ his skin and …. live your dreams).

The Brunhilde Bedroom Set is made from warm wood in combination with some iron details. I tried to draw a bow between modern style and rustic elements.

Hello world!

There it is:

After a two hours work at the very first layout this is my new blog.

What will it be about?

Well, I want to share with you my thoughts and experiences at SecondLife ™, the metaverse I share a lot of my time in and where I just founded a little business in the furniture-market, XL-Designs.

Also I might write about other things in a later future, I still have to think about that all :)

But for the moment: This is a sneak-preview only and I hope I can invite you to have a look at my blog in the future.
